Part of Waking Up in Vegas RP
“Of course!” he said. “I mean, if he’s up to it. I wouldn’t want to force him, but he’s definitely invited.”
She nodded carefully, still twisting her hands, trying to think of something else to say. Rapunzel’s face brightened for a second. “Guess what I did the other morning!”
“Um… rode a pony?” he guessed, trying to keep the mood light.
Rapunzel giggled, shaking her head. “I learned how to drive! Donnovan tried teaching me how to drive his challenging, but it was too scary so I drove this other car that wasn’t as pretty, but I think I got the hang of it!” She exclaimed happily.
If Jim had been drinking something, he might have choked on it in an attempt not to spit it out.
“Oh yeah?” he asked, a frog in his throat. He cleared it nervously. “So you guys have been… bonding, huh? Being all buddy buddy?”
This was… potentially a good thing. Maybe it would be easier on her if she found out that Donnavan was her long lost Purple Bubba.
Rapunzel shrugged with a smile. “I guess so! I met him at Afterlife when I was waiting for Meg and at first he was really scary, but then he just seemed really…sad.” She softened slightly and then brightened. “And we went for a drive and went to look at the stars! He told me about his sister, it’s really sad, she went missing when they were little.” She shook her head as though she didn’t approve of the sadness, or of the world’s cruelties. Her mother had warned her about that, but Rapunzel knew better now than to talk about Mother in front of Jim or Peter.
She continued, looking out the window. “But even though he seemed scary at first, I really think he’s got a good heart. He is really nice.” She insisted, frowning suddenly. “Except for the potato thing! He told me about that! He could have hurt you!”
